RE: Digital Marketing Companies | Social Media Marketing
I would imagine there are so many possible answers to this question. You really need to do your research. Of course you need to research your product. I think some make the mistake of joining a company because the company offers little to no cost to a starter kit, and that should be the least of your concerns. You should not base joining a company off of whether you have to pay for your starter kit. You can always earn back the cost of your kit so that is a wash. You do want to look at the products and see whether your customers will return on a monthly basis to refill their products and purchase additional products. For example, I am with a skincare and professional cosmetics company- women and men use these products on a daily basis, which means they will need refills and often be looking for something new. Don’t make the mistake of joining a company that pushes discounts and sales too often- that tells me that they are just pushing product and are more concerned with the sale than the actual consumer. Also, take a look at the comp plan. Is it rewarding? Does it work for you or against you? What is the commission breakdown? You also want to look at the size of the company and does it have any longevity? What were the origins? You want to make sure the company you represent, also represents you and is a company you can see yourself backing 100%. There’s so much more but these are just some thoughts.
